Style Crush: Movies

Amelie has to be the most adorable and charming movie ever made. I fall in love with Audrey Tautou every time I see it. I love her skirt, cardigan and boot outfit and tiny bangs.

Clementine's colorful hair and quirky style in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind changes throughout the movie.

The desserts, dresses, hair, shoes and decor is all perfection in Marie Antoinette. There are so many lovely things to look at in this movie, I could watch it a thousand times.

Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland also had some great costuming. Alice's boots and suit of armor are my favorites in the movie.

A great time capsule of the fashion of the time. Big collars, prints and dresses. Rosemary's Baby is equally frightening and fashionable.

Hairspray is the only fat positive movie that I could think of. Sad! I love the big hair and bows that Tracy Turnblad wears.

And then of course, Romeo + Juliet. I have mentioned it here before. It is my all-time favorite movie. Her wings outfit is heavenly!

Some of my faves! I actually have a blog written about the wonderfulness of Amelie but I was saving it for after all of my Halloween posts. :)

I love seeing movie recommendations. I don't see very many and never know how they are going to be. I love Romeo and Juliet too. One of my faves, along with First Knight.

I love Amelie... In fact the tattoo on my collar bone is a quote from that movie. "Elle respire profondément."

I also named my sweet cat Amelie... but she died a tragic death (water in her lungs)... : (

STUPENDOUS choices! If I were to make this same list I would probably choose all of those! Except I would add Penelope, Down with Love, and Pushing Daisies (okay, that's not a movie, but I love love love the costuming on that show!!)

AWE; I LOVE Amelie! I watch it again and again; can't get enough of her =). And Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is one of my favorite movies, too. I once used the name Clementine at Starbucks in the character's honor, haha.

I haven't seen ANY of those movies other than R&J. I know... sooooo wrong. I definitely would wear wings like that as often as I could get away with it. How cute would jeans, a tshirt and wings be (with a toque)? seriously? :D
