OOTD: Red Velvet Dress and DIY

I have been so excited to share this with you ever since I ordered it! I got a Red Velvet dress! I got the Sewing Kit dress on Black Friday and decided to wear it at Crafty Wonderland. I think it is really neat that Elsie and the other Red Velvet girls decided to make a couple of their dresses in larger sizes. Instead of being just a spectator of awesome things, I get to part of it! I am wearing the dress in 3 XL.

cardigan : torrid
sewing kit dress : red velvet
leggings : fashion bug
boots : avenue
vintage belt : fat fancy

The only issue with the sizing of the dress is that it was too small in the bust for me. But I was able to make alterations by hand to fix it. Watch the video below to find out more!

I think I'm in love. Do you feel like it's roomy enough in the hips? I'm always cautious of how dresses fit across my wide hips. It looks so cute on you and it makes me want it!

Awesome video - it's nice to see you talking! I should bookmark this page as dresses are really often too small around the bust for me.

I love the dress on you!

Isn't is wonderful? Elsie from A Beautiful Mess drew the pattern and it was hand screened onto the fabric.

Thank you! I thought of you when I was wearing it. I was rocking a Penny-style dress. It is plenty roomy too! It flares out a lot after the bust area. Oh and I am going to start working on your blog design soon. I hope you don't mind that it might not be completely done until next month.

Yes me too! She said that she got some requests so hopefully enough people bought them so that she will continue to.

Yay! Belt buddies! I think they are the kind of belts that men in the 80's wore with khaki pants to go play tennis at the country club.

Me too! :)

If it goes on sale again I think I'm going to have to buy it.  I just love everything about it, especially the color! Also, I meant to say it before, your video was very helpful!!! Oh, and regarding the blog design, that's don't worry next month is totally cool.
