I wore this outfit on Friday to go to work. Friday is usually the day during the work week that I pay attention to what I am wearing. That and Monday. The other days in between are usually about getting out the door with pants that have no holes!
I bought this adorable embroidered cat necklace at Crafty Wonderland last month from Jaclyn Rose Embroidery. She uses mostly recycled materials and I loved all of it! I make sure and ask every booth I buy from or take a photo of for their card. Since she tries to reduce waste, she didn't have one but she had a stamp. She asked if I had a receipt or something that she could stamp. I proceeded to pull out a notebook covered in cats with a pen tucked into the binding. She exclaimed something like, "Only in Portland do I see people carrying around notebooks wherever they go!" I am pretty sure they could make that into a premise for Portlandia.
In fact, we have been watching Portlandia. And sometimes I feel embarrassed and self-conscience that I am one of the characters in the show. But in a good way. It's like pride mixed in with embarrassment.
I have been wearing my red lipstick a lot lately. I purchased it a few years ago at Sephora and it is called Drop Dead Red by Too Faced, if you were wondering. At the same time, Moorea Seal started a lipstick challenge. By wearing red lipstick, I am showing my confidence and reenforcing a positive body image! Will you join?

I can tell you that I'm in Utah and I carry a notebook/journal/planner or all three wherever I go! Plus usually a notepad or two. ;)
