High waisted jeans are one of the pieces of clothing that are frowned on for fatties to wear. Jessica Simpson was a victim of the fashion police when she wore them in 2009. But me? I don't like following the rules! I have to be honest though. I bought these jeans a long time ago and wasn't sure if I wanted to wear them or how to wear them. They sat in a drawer and I tried them on a few times but couldn't push myself to leave the bedroom with them on. But after I dyed my hair, I felt like I could pull them off. Maybe it was the bold statement I needed to push me.

I wore this look to go on a date with the mister. We went to Laurelhurst Theater to see Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. I wanted to pull of a retro look since we were going to an old theater to watch a movie based in the 70's. The movie wasn't very exciting though and I fell asleep! It probably had to do with the beer we were drinking too. But I was horrified when the mister jabbed me to stop me from snoring! So embarrassing but man, that movie was not my deal.
It has been a long time since I have worn something other than skinnies!

I have some pants with a similar shape, but with two rows of buttons like sailor pants, I love them SO much that I own three pairs (I'm a big fan of multiples when I find something that fits well). Wonderful outfit ... also, your hair looks brilliant in that shade!
It's funny to think that I wore nothing else then those long, wide jeans when I was about 13... now I find them weird around my legs... i guess it's a matter of getting used to! ^^ They look great on you and you are totally right to wear them with the red hair, it's a fab combination! I think what I like most is the buttons... so cute!
Those jeans are rockin'! It sounds silly to some but hair really can change how you feel! And man, I'd love some of those pants - I should look on ebay or something...
