Library Books and Park Picnics

Last week brought us lots of sunshine, unlike this week. So I am glad that we took advantage of it and visited our new library and had a picnic in the park. It is just a couple blocks away from our house and something we should do more of! When I got off from work, we packed up our dinner and headed down the street. I was surprised to see how nice the library was and appreciated the artwork, architecture and design!

My stomach was growling so we went across the street to the park to eat dinner and lay in the grass. It was a beautiful evening! Our little adventure was very refreshing and good for the soul. Sometimes the best things are free.

Does your neighborhood have a library or park? I hope you take advantage of it!

Your library is beautiful and made even nicer with the green space where you can eat your lunch. We have a beautiful neighbourhood library too but no green space right close by though there is a park a few blocks away.

Wow, your new library looks like a book store. Very modern and well-organized it seems. We do go to the library pretty frequently, but it's a little too far away for a walk. There are parks within walkable distance though and we always travel through them when out with the dogs.

There is a nice library down the block from me in Chicago, it's so convenient! I also work very close to a brand new branch as well. They're not as gorgeous as that library though. I also live off a boulevard so it's like having a little yard/park space in front of my building. I love my neighborhood.

Neat! There are really an endless amount of things to read, watch and listen to at the library. The mister was telling me about a guy that got his entertainment from the library.

Rachele said...

Not really! I used another website to do it. Quite nifty though! Which reminds me that I need to update it...

Haha, most of our libraries are pretty old or they are in strip malls. Didn't know the could look like our new one!

Agreed! I hope you had fun!
