Oh, and May 6th was International No Diet Day! Spend this week appreciating your body. Break the habit of putting down your size or weight and joining in on diet talk. Make a statement about your size confidence and show that fat bodies can be beautiful, healthy and capable too.
International No Diet Day is about:
Doubting the idea of one "right" body shape.
Raising awareness to weight discrimination, size bias and fatphobia.
Declaring a free day from diets and obsessions to body weight.
Presenting the facts about the diet industry, emphasizing the inefficacy of commercial diets.
Showing how diets perpetuate violence against women.
Honoring the victims of eating disorders and weight-loss surgery.
Helping end weight discrimination, sizism and fatphobia
Today and every day!
