PNW Blogger Meet Up

I went to my first blogger meet up a couple weekends ago! I dressed sort of fancy for a Friday at work, but needed to head straight to the event afterwards. I had 30 minutes to get myself across town and was a little flustered and didn't have much time to prepare. I was so nervous! I am not a natural mingler but I was excited to spend a night with fellow bloggers. I sort of forgot about it and was almost sure that I had the wrong weekend or missed it because I fell off the email mailing list somehow. The last I heard about it was when I bought the ticket. But it was probably better that way. I just showed up and had a fun time!

Beautiful ink on the adorable Andrea

I brought prints with me because I still haven't gotten around to making business cards. One day! But anyway, the prints were a hit and were better than any business card I would have whipped up. Chelsey and Mandy framed theirs!

Kara and Moorea
It was sort of weird and awesome to meet people that you talk to online and trade buttons with. Moorea was super sweet, funny and I wish I talked to her more!

We had our own bar and we definitely kept our bartender busy!

I had never been to the Lucky Lab before. Does that make me a bad Portlander?

We also got swag bags filled with things like notebooks, samples, coupons and other cute things. We put our names in for a drawing. I didn't win but we kept the fun going by drawing names and spending 15 minutes or so chatting with that person, making sure we broke out of our groups a bit. I am pretty sure I babbled on endlessly about all the intimate details of my life.

We had a few organized moments but for the most part we just chatted!

Heather and Chelsey organized the event and did a great job!

Our name tags were cute!

We also had a professional photographer and photo booth. Thanks Sara!

If you are a blogger, I definitely recommend that you go to a blogger meet if you have the opportunity! It was a little outside my box but it was nice to be treated to a night among my peers and taking my online life to the offline world.

I love your recap! I've read what so many girls said about the evening, but your description was so honest and real. I'm beyond jealous of the giveaways. And your prints are amazing! yeah, who's going to frame a business card? real art is the best! You're sooo lucky you live in the PNW with all these fun girls :) what a fun night!

baw I wish I could've gone to that. You look like you had a ton of fun.  Those people look fun too! I'm in Utah where the blogging retreats are all for Mormon moms.  Toootally not my thing. I hated it, haha.

BUT I AM GLAD YOU ENJOYED THIS! Maybe I'll take a train up for the next one, it's not too far. Also those cards are freaking amazing.

Wow, seems like you had a superdeeduperdee time! Looks like everyone had fun! It's great that you still went even if you were nervous; good for you! Everyone looks great and you look fabulous as always! But, I'd like to ask you a couple of questions and am hoping its okay. My intent is not to put you in the spot; just asking as a friend...I'm just curious like that and I'd really, really love to know the answer.

What motivated you to attend the blogger meet-up? and
What would you say is the one thing "inspiring" that you took with you (tangible or intangible or both) from the meet?

Thanks for sharing. Tootles!

It was lovely meeting you!!  When I get nervous, I get really chatty and joke-y ;)  I hope my silliness was entertaining because good lord I felt like half the night I was high on sugar, I felt so giddy and hyper to be meeting so many fun ladies!

Ditto! Hope to see you at the next one too :) P.S. I may have gotten the only photo of you not making a silly face!

Rachele said...

It was! I would love to see what you do with them. Glad you liked them too!

Rachele said...

Me too! There wasn't very many familiar faces and I felt like it was the first day of school or something. Butterflies! There has to be a way we could have a national blogger meet up paid by some big scary corporation...

Rachele said...

Ooo, are you going to be our shoe girl?!?! I can't wait! I am definitely going. If tickets sell out before I get my broke ass in gear I will cry for days because you will be there.

Rachele said...

I would be happy to answer your questions!

I was excited to go because I have never been to one. It seemed like a fun thing to do. Hang out with other bloggers and meets some online faces. And meet new friends!

The event was pretty chill so we didn't any speakers or classes or anything. But I felt really supported and encouraged after the event!

Rachele said...

Awesome! I totally made the name up (blogger dress) and brain washed you into buying it haha. It was gifted to me but I would not have hesitated to buy it anyway. It is a lovely dress!

Rachele said...

I agree! Most fashionable people I have ever seen in one place!

Rachele said...

Thanks dear!

Rachele said...

Omg, I read your post about that. I would have felt out of place there too. This one was very laid back. Just a night drinking beers with some lady friends. Some of the bloggers are religious but not everyone, so it was a good mix.

Rachele said...

We did! I was very nervous. Like a sweaty, giggling, oversharing weirdo.

Rachele said...

Oh well thanks! I almost thought I might have waited too long to blog about it and would forget what I wanted to say.

Suki said...

I BOUGHT it!! Looking forward to trying it on... don't' know if I'll do my first ever outfit post or what but I'll find some way of showing ya! xo

Rachele said...

Yes, please do!
