These warmer days in August are a perfect time to take advantage of the cooler evenings and go to the drive-in! Sadly, all but one of our drive-in's have been closed down years ago. There used to be one open when I was a kid, but I only remember driving by it and seeing the abandoned screens. Sad! It has become one of my favorite things to do since I discovered that there is still one open a short drive away. But more on that tomorrow! Here is what I wore.

I thrifted two of these dresses in different prints and I have been wearing the hell out of them. I am so glad I discovered these chub rub shorts because it has completely changed how I keep cool in the summer. I usually forget I am wearing them because they are so comfortable and allow my skin to breath. I probably could have went a size down and wore them more like a girdle. But I am not interested in squeezing my body to look smaller. So they are a little loose but nice and cool! I think I talked about this already but I am still excited about them!
Also, I got another pair of snazzy glasses!

You look very nice and I love the new glasses. I've always had to wear shorts (biker shortswhen I was a kid) because of chaffing and I was on of those little girls that was always sitting with her kneed apart. Wearing jeans really doesn't help either.
That dress has such a cute print, you look lovely. I wish we had drive-ins over here, but I've never found one. Another thing to add to the list of 'things I will one day do in the USA' xo
you look fantastic in that dress and i just love your jelly shoes too! i feel better when i wear shorts under my dress too especially when i ride my bike. i don't feel like i am flashing everyone my undies :O i don't think we have a drive in at all around here. i know in santa cruz which is further south has one. i would love eto go in our bug!

Used to love the drive-in. Glad there is still one left. They got rid of ours about 15 years ago and turned it into one of those huge open-air shopping centers with Wal-Mart, a huge movie theater, Lowe's, Best Buy, etc. Man, what would give to have that place back.
