Fat Fashion Day: Brunch

On Saturday, I hung out with some beautiful ladies for a planned day of brunch, clothes swapping and shopping. I was invited by a friend I met through friends from high school and some of the other ladies, I knew online. Portland is a small world sometimes! So, I was very excited to catch up, meet new people and shop at some of my favorite places. I brought my camera along and took lots of photos.

We started out having brunch at one of the hostess' house. There was records played, pastries, quiche, mimosas and we did a clothes swap. We brought 5 items of clothing that we didn't want anymore, put them all in a pile and dug in! I was a little too slow at the game and didn't end up with anything. But I made up for it during the shopping part of our day. Plus, I was really stoked to see some of my stuff find a happy home.

You may recognize this babe as a Chubby Cartwheel's model.

The bounty!

Devra with my faux leather bomber jacket that I barely wore. She rocks it!

Leathia on the left, was one of the organizers. Gorgeous!

This is my friend, Tara. We met at Chunky Dunk and have been going to Yoga for the Larger Woman together. She is in their calendar featuring fat bodies doing yoga poses, seen below. I am so proud of her!

It was very sweet of them to make us little gift bags.

Our other host, Coco, making something yummy.

So much beautiful mermaid hair! We joked about starting a band.

I have more photos from our shopping at three plus size clothing stores in Portland. I plan on posting them all! Not only did I have a blast but these businesses are fabulous and I want everyone to know about them!

Holy. That was a party of fashionable women. They all looked so hot in their outfits. I think I need to find me some fashionistas, so that I'll be inspired to dress that cute. Also, I totally love the mermaid hair. I've always wished for something similar, but my hair refuses to be anything but straight.
Glad to see that you ladies had such a good time.

Ooh, I've wondered about that yoga class. Maybe I'll see you there sometime. Do you recommend either instructor in particular?
