Now on to the game!

Sponsor #1

I'm a 28 year old little lady who runs my little shop. It makes me so happy to be able to create things with my hands and I am constantly inspired and always creating new things. It is what really makes me the happiest person ever! I love drawing tattoo's designs. I have designed all my tattoo art myself, basically a walking canvas and i would not have it any other way. My bike is my main form of transportation and I love showing off what I wear while riding. i love to inspire and encourage other amazing ladies out there to befriend their two wheels and to show everyone how easy it can be to ride in style!

Sponsor #2

Hey! I live in Arkansas and creating things is my passion. I love to knit, crochet, sew, paint and draw. I am selling some of my creations on Etsy, you should check them out! :) I am currently going to school for Accounting, but my real dream is to own a yarn and craft shop!

Sponsor #3

I live in Winnipeg, Canada with my boyfriend Aaron and our 2 cats. I'm in love with the most amazing boy ever, who came here from Australia to take a chance on love. Read our ♥ story here. I spend a lot of my time with my band Larrikin (which Aaron is also a part of), playing guitar, singing and having fun. Aaron and I recently bought our first home together, where we love to spend our time with our 2 kitties: Hobbes and Madison. You'll be seeing a lot of these guys on the blog. They are my chosen family.

Sponsor #4

I started my business in 2010 to help me mix my love of fashion with my passion for helping women see their true self worth. My personal mission is to stamp out low self esteem and false limitations, and to help women see themselves as truly beautiful, not just inside, but outside too! I chose my business name to convey the idea that women are powerful and that we have a voice and a presence that is important. Also, it's a nod to my own plus-sized, fashionable self. I am local to the Seattle/Puget Sound area and would love to work with you in person if you are close, or virtually no matter where you live! Why don't you contact me and we can get started?

Sponsor #5

I'm a 23 year old crafter from Puerto Rico. Sewing, embroidery and crochet are my main passions, but thanks to a very lucky thrifty find I'm getting more and more into analog photography. It all started with a Polaroid Cool Cam and I don't know how far it will go; I already own 2 Polaroid Land Cameras that I love. Every Monday I blog about a different fabric that inspires me in Fabric Crush Monday and the rest of the week is sprinkled with a little bit of everything. I write about crafts, food, photography, thrifty finds, inspiration and daily life. This blog is the outlet for all my creative adventures.

Sponsor #6

I'm a twenty-something art student who loves adventuring through the redwood trees, drinking tea, photography and everything sea foam green colored.

Sponsor #7

I'm a administrative assistant with a Master's degree in Leadership by day, a blogger and business woman by night, and a weekend warrior out to enjoy Mother Nature before heading home to play with some paper and glue. I really love being outdoors, I post about my camping adventures, share local hikes, and I also post about blogging-related topics such as Search Engine Optimization, social media, and Google Analytics.

Birthday Bowling Date

striped top : torrid
cardigan : old navy
jeggings : fashion bug
scarf : thrifted
shoes/ball : bowling alley

Last week, we celebrated the mister's 30th birthday by going on a little bowling date, just me and him. We went to the local bowling alley that seems to remain unchanged by the outside modern world. It is one of our favorite places to go when we want to go out and have fun. It is where we celebrated my birthday too!

I am a horrible bowler but we have a lot of fun goofing around and drinking beers and eating pizza. They have a dedicated phone line to the pizza place next door. All you have to do is pick it up, order and some of the most delicious pizza is delivered straight to your lane!

Since it was the mister's birthday, we went to the nickel arcade afterwards. Here he is with his winning bounty!

Then we went home and ate cherry pie, yum! Some birthdays we have parties but most of the time it is just me and him. We sort of love it that way!

New and Improved

Sandy would like y'all to see her pink and spotted belly and announce some news. We now have bigger photos! Now that I have a new camera that takes purty photos, I want to show them off. I just got it today! These are my test shots and I have some learning to do. It is my first interchangeable lens camera and I am hoping my high school photography class will come back to me.

I am excited to start on this new adventure in photography! I always pushed my old camera to the limits  but now I actually have the equipment for what I want to accomplish. I also have a remote now so I can take some proper outfit shots instead of focusing on a tree and running in front of it before the timer goes off. In addition to the blog being wider, you can also click on my new photos to see them larger. I think I have one more post with photos from the old camera and then it will be awesomeness from now on!

P.S. I took these at night in a very small and dark house and I didn't edit these photos, in case you were wondering! I am impressed!

OOTD: Feathers and Sparkle

sparkly dress : target
vintage cardigan : fat fancy
leggings : fashion bug
shoes : torrid
belt : fat fancy
feather headband : fanciful fluff boutique via giveaway

I wore this sparkly dress last weekend to go out to a birthday lunch with my parents for the mister and my mom. Funny story, I wore this dress for a Halloween costume once when I dressed up as Logan's Run character. Kudos to the nerds that have seen that movie!

I bought a new camera and I have been obsessing over it like tomorrow is Christmas. I don't get any sleep when I know there is something exciting coming in the mail! I love online shopping but it kills me that I have to wait for it. I just keep reminding myself of the money I saved compared to going to a store and taking it home right away.

I think I could probably do some darning to fix some of the worn spots on this sweater. I love the color and scalloped pattern!

The month is almost over! I can't wait to share some photos taken with my new camera, when I get it. I am a cart before the horse type of gal, aren't I?!?! I have even more exciting things planned for next month, including at least five giveaways from some really cool people. Also, I still do have sponsor spots open, but filled all 10 spots for a free portrait.

I hope you are all having a wonderful week!
