Thrifted Finds

We decided to go thrifting on the way home from the Indian buffet. Although I felt like I needed to lay down and die after over-indulging on palak paneer and papadum, it was worth the effort! Holy shit, people. Look at this cat bag. Gaze upon it's beauty. Came complete with someone else's cat hair too. The clerk at the thrift store said that she had her eye on it and was waiting the required three days to buy it. Sorry! As giving as I am, I couldn't bear to let her have it. It is too big for a purse but perfect for weekend trips to the coast. It was $6.99.

And what are the chances that I would find an Asos sweater dress in size 26 UK?!?! It was brand new and still had the tag! It was $7.99. So cute.

And then I found a couple tops that also looked brand new. $6.99 and $4.99.

Love this mushroom candle! It was $2.99 and the mushroom planter was $3.99.

I bought these lace collars that I can sew on to a dress or shirt. $2.99 each.

Records for only $1.99 each. The Peter, Paul and Mary album is so pretty!

And my final prize, a cookie canister for $6.99.

These are the things I passed on via Instagram. It was hard but my arms were already full and I was trying to stay within a budget. I passed on crocheted blankets, crocheted pillows, flowery mugs and a hug stack of metal trays with a wood and lace design. It was really hard to keep my paws off these things but I have to draw the line somewhere to avoid hoarder status!

I completed a few more portraits! I love when I am really pleased with how a portrait came out and then next thing I know, I see it on that person's blog or profile. It really makes me smile! OOTD: Fashion Flashback

Yes, I wear leggings as pants and sometimes I end up looking like a garden gnome! This top is a very old piece from when I used to wear mainly hot pink, including hot pink polka-dotted flowers in my hair. Fashion flashback! I do tend to keep clothes for a very long time (over 10 years!) and then keep remixing them.

I had a 4-day weekend which I spent cleaning the house, drawing portraits, doing all the laundry, reading and playing Seinfeld "Scene It?" with the mister. We are really good at that game. Scary good. I am not sure I know anybody else that I could play that game with and be so evenly matched. It's pretty entertaining to yell out things like "reverse peephole" and "shrinkage"! Plus laughing hysterically at the clips is a great stress reliever. Seinfeld never gets old to me!

This is actually the last couple weeks! 

1. I had a hard time not keeping this hanging terrarium for myself!

2. Admiring my new colorful leggings.

3. Had kale salad for the first time and yummy!

4. Sandy doesn't always want her photo taken.

5. Just made it as the first 200 in line at Crafty Wonderland to get a goodie bag.

6. Crafty Wonderland was lots of fun but boy, I was tired.

7. Time to collect all the tupperware left at work and bring it home.

8. The mister looks dapper for his interview.

9. Wednesday had another hurt paw and was sleeping like a baby.

10. Working on Renee's portrait.

11. I wore my new favorite top a couple times.

12. Listening to Chantilly in the car. Review and giveaway coming soon!

13. Yay! The mister got the job and I gave him a milkshake.

14. Yams and strawberries for lunch.

15. Sunny day picnic.

16. I can't keep myself away from wearing hats. I try to avoid them because I have an irrational fear that they will make my hair fall out.
