Happy 2013, folks! We spent NYE at home, I know, chronic homebodies here. It is usually how we do it. I intended on wooping it up but a few glasses of wine and champagne later and I passed out on the couch and then the mister somehow fell asleep in the middle of the bed surrounded by kitties and every pillow and blanket we own. We did watch a super adorable French movie called Romantics Anonymous. If it involves quirkiness, food, and is French, I will probably love it. We also went to see The Hobbit. All I wanted to do was scream "PIE MAKER!".
So, everyone is doing end of the year recaps of their blogs. You might see one of those here soon once I stop being too lazy. But I don't know. I am definitely a look forward type of person and more interested in new ideas. You can go through Month in Review posts to get the gist of the year, as well as links to outfits, writing, etc. on my sidebar. You can also use blogger's dynamic view to get a thumbnail collage of all my blog posts, which is neat too.
I am ready for some really radical stuff to happen here this year. Are you ready for this jelly? I feel a lot less stressed and anxious. I made some changes, like I stopped taking the anti-depressants that was supposed to help with my back pain. I was starting to feel less than thrilled about the side effects and less convinced it was helping with back pain after seeing how much more yoga helped. I think it was good that I took them when I did because it helped when I had really debilitating pain but now that my fat is remixed, I was ready to leave it behind. Reading back about my social anxiety, I realized how much the medication was probably enhancing it. I also had a really hard time waking up in the morning and just wasn't feeling myself anymore. I was sort of grumpy and irritable. Life! So complicated!
I want this year to be about being visible and proud! I want to talk about fat sex and armpit hair. Radical, I tell you. It's not about as much as one upping myself, but more getting out there and talking about shit and encouraging my fellow fatties. Nothing should be off-limits.

I love that dress--it's one of my favorites in your closet. And I love the fat remixed link you shared. It hits the nail right on the head. It's not about size, or amount of fat you've got, but having a body that can do the activities you want it to be able to do, and supporting that body the way it needs supported. My body loves the support that comes from biking, but it also likes the support that comes from chocolate milkshakes :-)
that dress is perfect. seriously amazing. i don't think i'm going to do a year in review thing either. i just don't feel motivated to do it. IDK. BRING ON 2013.
Funnily enough, I was cleaning out the spare room the other day and found the most AMAZING vintage dress that I bought a few months ago from an op shop but completely forgot about! As you know, they're like hens teeth, so I'm making a concerted effort to wear it more often.
You look FAB - that dress was definitely made for you! Love the light grey against the orangey red, purple and white. The leggings bring out the colours too. :) xoxo

I only just found your blog a week ago, and already it's one of my favourites! I love your dress; I think pussy bows are uber sexy! x
Yeah, that dress is basically perfection... and nothing wrong with staying at home. My boyfriend was passed out on my chest at 10:30 and the most excitement we got was when we took a midnight trip to Walgreens because we had no contact solution. Party on!

What an adorable outfit!! I freaking love that dress. :)
You always look so insanely pretty & pulled together. LOVE this dress! Looking forward to whatever 2013 brings on this blog of yours.
YES! It's 2013, let the filters be gone!
I think its the natural order of things; to open up more and more. When we start the self love journey we're hesitant and cautious. But then we start to love ourselves and wear what we want and find other fatties and before we know it we're writing books (YOU!) and organizing conferences (Me!) and talking about radical notions that the world needs more of.
Once you start living life, you can't stop.
Cant wait to see what's coming!
(And no recaps for me either! If you wanna know what I wrote about last year click the "older" button!) ;)
Staying in for New Years is actually something I love to do ... so more power to ya ! Love the dress and love your plans for RADICAL 2013 ... I'm letting 2013 be the year I fully embrace body acceptance and just bask in my own brand of awesome ! Love the blog ...
Romantics Anonymous is probably the greatest Romantic Comedy ever. It's what Chocolat SHOULD have been! Happy New Year!
I loveee your dress! And my boyfriend and I stayed in for NYE too, it was so nice and relaxing. I say, power to the homebodies!

That is one awesome dress! :)
I love your dress, it's a beautiful shape and the grey and floral are really classy. I watched 'Romantics Anonymous' just the other night and laughed the whole way through! It reminds me of my husband and i so much! I love your goal for this year as well, "Getting out there and talking about shit!" I may borrow some of it for myself!

you are amazing and beautiful.
There are no words to describe how much I love that dress. It's so beautiful.
We had a very quiet new year's eve. My brother came over, we played board games, I took a nap and woke up just in time for the stroke of midnight. It was perfect.
